This is a12\" long sterling silver (lion rampant and George III profile) Cake Pie Server by London (Crowned Panther Head)silversmith Moses Brent (MB)fully hallmarked on blade and handle, dated 1813 (S in shield). The pierced blade has an intricate monogram which appears to be T H I, intertwined in that order (initials TIH). The tang for the blade is loose in the handle and needs to be better seated. The handle has some dings and splits at the ferrule. The blade is 7 1/4\" to the handle. The handle is 4 3/4\". Total weight including filled handle is 147 grams. I see similar Moses Brent cake pie servers offered for $500 to $750. This piece is priced accordingly in view of the needed repairs.
