Up for offer is a delicate porcelain china dish made in the shape of a scallop shell. The inside is a salmon or peach apricot color. The outside is creamy white. The edge is trimmed in gold. NOTE ON COLOR: the color is more vibrant than the piece looks in my photos - I adjusted the color on the last picture to show it more accurately.

The underside is marked: Mottahedeh VA 1824 Portugal. The VA mark identifies the maker as Vista Alegra. Age is unknown. (Mottahedeh has been in business for over 80 years. They are known for fine museum reproductions and high quality decorative tablewares.)

This piece measures approx 4 1/2\" across at the widest.

Condition: It is without chips, cracks, nicks or dings. There is no wear on surface (nor rubs or scratching).

It is a charming little piece inspired by nature - it could be a very nice find for those who enjoy a beach / ocean theme!
