I now use high-power, pure 365nm LED lighting for my longwave pics. The FLM world is aware of the advances in LW LEDs. It’s a pity to use blacklights/ fluorescent lighting, obscuring the beauty of our LW rocks.

Sodalite, Chkalovite, Analcime - Great Patterns Very minor tugtupite (one little eye), syenite, lujavrite - large

Bright orange fluorescing sodalite intersected by a vein of lujavrite and syenite (dull magenta). The bright green areas are chkalovite. One lonely little eye of tugtupite can be seen on the right side.

The bright blue fluorescing areas seem like they should be analcime, but I’m really not sure about this. They don’t follow the habit of analcime on other pieces.

Nice spotty tenebrescence, sharply contrasts with the white matrix.
