STRAIGHT FROM AN OLD COLLECTION HERE IN CONNECTICUT, THIS IS THE ABSOLUTE BEST CLASSIC MINIATURE ENFIELD, CT SHAKER CHEESE BASKET WE HAVE EVER SOLD. IT IS IN NEAR PERFECT CONDITION AND STILL RETAINING ITS OLD ORIGINAL DRY SURFACE.

THE VERY BEST 19TH CENTURY ROUND SHAKER MINIATURE CHEESE BASKET IN THE BEST ORIGINAL OLD SURFACE AND PATINA WITH THE MOST DELICATE AND FINE WEAVE. Enfield, CT Shaker Community, Circa 1830-1850.

It is a CLASSIC Open top ROUND basket AND THE VERY DISTINCTIVE SIX SIDED BASE. It is make of what appears to be black ash splint. It is a very tight weave on the sides being less than 1/8\" in size.

THIS BASKET IS IN NEAR PERFECT CONDITION WITH NO VISIBLE LOSSES EXCEPT FOR A FEW MINOR SURFACE ABRASIONS.

THIS GREAT BASKET HAS BEEN SITTING IN THE SAME COLLECTION FOR THE PAST 50 YEARS.
The basket originally came from an old Shaker Picker named \"Shaker Ed\" who lived in Enfield, CT. Ed worked at the Enfield, CT Shaker Community when it was closing and after it closed in the 1920\'s. He often traded his work for pieces from the community.

THE SURFACE IS DRY AND HAS THE BEST OLD PATINA.

NEAR PERFECT CONDITION.
