This is anold tool used for knitting. Both caps turn and on their sides reveal the numbers 1 through 24. One set is in red, the other in gold. These act as counting reminders. On the end of the caps are holes to measure the size of the knitting needles.

Printed on the side is an adorable Mabel Lucie Atwell image of two young children playing with a string. On the other side is written: Needle Gauge / Viyella / Knitting Recorder / Brit. Pat. No. 408504 / Made in England.

Size is 1-1/2\" in diameter, 1-9/16\" tall.

The image has some wear and chips, and has darkened.The gold lettering is hard to read. There isgeneral wear to the plating. It workswell.
