You are viewing a rare and retired earlyset ofsalt and pepper with the original under plate which are rare finds of the MacKenzie Childs Torquay line. The terra cotta glazed finish is vibrant andit is in mint condition. The tray was from their Cheltenham linewhich they paired with Torquay, it has ornate brass feet supporting the adorableblack and white checks with roses within the white checks, all the trim is 24K gold trim. Age cracks in the 24K trim is a natural occurrence as is the gold tends to age with a natural patina which collectors love. The MKC logo is stamped into the clay majolica on the bottom.

The salt and pepper, with the original painted marbletray/under plate isadorned withpaw pad ornate antiquebrass feet. The set is in mint condition. The Cheltenhamtray measures almost 8\" long by 3.5\" wide. Each shaker is almost 5\" tall by 2\" wide. Wonderful!
