High Tea, Mackenzie Childs style? Counting lids, this is a 6 piece authentic Mackenzie Childs ceramic tea or coffee set. All the pieces were produced between 1995 and 2000 and they are all from the Taylor and Wallcourt series. The cream pitcher is Aurora and the sugar bowl with lid are Madison. You can see the very beginnings of Courtly Check in the body of the teapot in the OddFellows base design with a lid of Spencer. Most of the pieces were purchased at Bergdorf Goodman in the late 1990\'s and a few pieces were added shortly thereafter.

Each piece is hand made, hand painted by a specific artist whose initials appear on the base of the piece in most cases. All are hand fired in the MC kilns at their workshop in Aurora NY.

So popular were the original Taylor and Wallcourt series pieces that a reissue is underway in Aurora with several pieces now being duplicated but not in most of the original patterns.

Prices on the reissue of these Taylor and similar pieces today are:

Teapot = $198

Sugar = $150

Creamer + Saucer = $143

Total cost = $491

These are all in undamaged condition with no chips, cracks or serious problems. There are a few firing bubbles on the teapot which are clearly shown in the photo of the pot and typical of these wears. They are well thrown, sit level and have excellent symmetry. Please examine all the photos of the amazing set.
