This spectacular Madame Alexander Cissy doll is from 1996. This is the year that the Alexander doll company reintroduced Cissy to the doll world after a long absence with a limited edition couture collection of fabulous dolls. This is Cissy #67601, and her ensemble is known as the Ebony and Ivory Houndstooth Suit. It consists of a straight skirt in a houndstooth check shot through with silver threads, a slim, houndstooth jacket with a peplum and elaborate velveteen scrolled trim, and a black and white silk sleeveless blouse with a flounce at the neckline. Cissy\'s suit is topped of with a \"chinchilla\" shrug and a matching veiled, fur hat. She also wears a \"ruby\" and \"diamond\" bracelet, earrings, and brooch, black leather gloves, black stockings, and spectator pumps.The doll herself has long auburn hair and root beer colored eyes Cissy is in excellent, clean condition. Her outfit is clean and complete, with the exception of her original handbag, which was lost long before I acquired her. Aside from this, she is just about perfect in every way, except for a tiny pinhole in one of her black stockings.She still has her original hang tag, although I do not have her box.Cissy has been completely restrung and holds a pose very well.This is a hard to find and extraordinary Cissy doll. She would make a wonderful addition to any collection.
