Madame Alexander\'s 1937 \"Princess Elizabeth\" Doll 17 Inches All Original :

1937 was the year of King George IV Coronation. King George was Queen Elizabeth\'s father. In honor of this great event Madame Alexander came out with a doll commemorating Princess Elizabeth. She came in a variety of sizes from 13\" to 27\". My doll is 17\" & in excellent condition. She is almost \"A Perfect Princess\".Her only imperfections come from her age. She is all original.Body Condition is as follows...She has a Beautiful Complexion. Her face painting is wonderful. Real upper lashes with an open smiling mouth with teeth & felt tongue. There is a verticalline under each eye & cracked irises, these are due to age. The women I purchased her from years ago told me that the lines have been stabilized & the pupils enhanced. Her wig is mohair that still retains most of the original curls. Her legs are beautiful with there rosy knees.Clothing Condition: Elizabeth wears a lovely crisp lilac gown with puffed sleeves & a pink ribbon at her empire waist. She has a matching bag with a single rosebud. Her silver shoes sparkle like new. They retain there leather bows & embossed metal toe ornaments. She has a slip with matching panties. Her Princess Crown with its \"Ruby\" center stone is as perfect as the day she was released. She has her original hang tag. The only flaw here is the small piece of tape at the string hole & the cord has been replaced. The graphics are clear & highly detailed. I have not removed her clothes as I believe they have never been removed. I do not want to cause the elastic to stretch out. In my opinion she is an exceptional example of M.A. Princess Elizabeth. If you have any questions please ask. Remember she is from the 1930\'s & because of her age she does have age related changes. Thanks for looking. Have a Blessed Day!
