TOTAL LENGTH: 24 inches.BODY LENGTH 14 inches. WIDTH 8 inches. FRETBOARD 10.5 inches (meetsbody at 5.5 inches). The two-piece back and the ribs and neck are allflamed Maple. The top appears to be Spruce. Lots of flashing. It hasa nice low action with a beautiful warm classical tone. It is inimmaculate condition. Comes with coffin case and bows pictured.

A rare fiddle designed inthe early 1600\'s by Giovan Paolo Maggini inBrescia. Through age three hairline crackshave appeared on the front which the camera did not pick up. These have been professionally repaired.My husband who was not aware of the value of this instrument until hediscovered that no matter where he played, other musicians wereattracted to the unusual design and tone.
