Vintage MCM Blenko Ambrina Optic Decanter #6954 by Joel Philip Myers, Standsa Magnificent 27 1/4\" Tall with a Base Diameter of 8 1/4\". The Stopper Alone is a Huge Piece, measuring 9 1/4\" Long X 1 7/8\" at widest point. This is a Very Rare Find for Blenko Art Glass Collectors.
Condition is Excellent - No scratches, chips, or cracks, but does need to be cleaned. Please note, the Stopper in the first picture looks like itis not evenly smooth, but it is just the lightdefecting off the top. The stopper fits but not tightly, as it is not the original stopper, but Is the Exact Stopperthat was made to go with Joel Myers #6954 Decanter. So it must be adjusted slightly to stand straight. I have seen this is often typical of hand blown glass, even when the stopper is original. However, Is no big deal as this onestays in place when adjusted. The bottom of the base does have the glass blowersPontil on the bottom.
Rarely do you see a Decanter of this Size, & Height 27 1/4 \"weighing about 8 lbs. alone. This Huge Decanter is Beautiful & Has a Personality thatMakes a Statement!!! It is a Collectable that is a Very Good Example of Joel Philip Myers Optic Series, as mentioned & pictured in the glass collectors \'GlassHouse Newsletter\'. Please Also realize that Blenko Designer Pieces are getting harder & harder to come by. Especially of the larger sizes & more complicated pieces not as many were produced & for fewer years they were produced.
