Magnificent Antique Beaded Purse, 800 Silver Deeply Cast Figural Frame, Parrot :

Wonderful beaded purse with multicolored parrot perched on branch on either side on a silver gray bead background that also shows gold on the edges of the beads as the purse is turned to the light at different angles. Light blue bottom section floral motifs in green, yellow, orange, red and pink. Light blue beaded fringe.
The frame shows a star touch mark on the reverse and \"800\" indicating it is .800 silver. The front of the frame is deeply cast and chased with a central face in a hexagonal frame bordered by gorgons or dragons.
The purse has wonderful colors and is in immaculate, perfect condition. The rear of the frame has an engraved script monogram \"SSM\" or \"LLM.\" Measuring from the top of knob to the bottom of the fringe, the purse measures 9 3/4 inches long. The body of the purse is about 8 1/2 inches long by 5 3/4 inches wide. Chains are about 6 1/2 inches long each. The interior is plain white cotton material and is fully intact. All the beaded fringe seems to be there. There is a short space left and right of the bottom center portion of the fringe where the edges turn up slightly.
I have photographed this on a black background and also on a white background to give an accurate idea of the colors.
This is from a very nice, older estate, but I have no information on the background of the purse or the identification of the monogram.
