This old radio lights up instantly, and after it warms up a bit makes a loud buzzing sound.I can\'t figure out what type of antenna it had, so I haven\'t tried to find a station.I\'m guessing the model number has the year made, and I am guessing it\'s 1940. I COULD BE WRONG.I don\'t know anything about the tubes, I am selling this for a friend. (He has had this radio for a very long time).It\'s 7\" tall, by 11\" wide and 7\" deep.The cord is originalIt is missing 2 screws that holds the cardboard back on.
