Great \"Map of Hel Peninsula Fortifications\", edition 2013, brand new and unissued. This great map in scale of 1: 15 000 is very precise. It shows all fortificationsonHel Peninsula, Poland, Baltic Sea. Each single bunker or shelter is marked on the map. There are fortifications build by the Poles till 1939, build by the Germans in period of 1939-1945 and also all post war fortifications, including Polish shelters for rocket missiles from the 70s and radio towers. Each object is described in English and Polish.

Hel Peninsula is a 35-km-long sand bar peninsula in northern Poland separating the Bay of Puck from the open Baltic Sea. After the peninsula became part of the Second Polish Republic after World War I, it acquired considerable military significance, and was turned into a fortified region, with a garrison of about 3,000. In the course of theBattle of Helin1939, Polish forces dynamited the peninsula at one point, turning it into an island. During the years of German occupation (1939–1945), Hel\'s defenses were further expanded, and a battery of three40.6 cm SK C/34gun was constructed. Also many other bunkers, shelters and other fortifications had been build by the Germans. Germans were also using earlier Polish bunkers. The Wehrmacht made the Hel a sea-fortress, very similar to those on La Manche Channel Islands, but much bigger. The peninsula remained in German hands until the end of World War II, when the defending forces surrendered on May14, 1945, six days after Germany had capitulated. After the war, when Hel again became part of Poland, it continued to have military significance, with much of its area reserved for military use. Additional gun batteries were built during the 1940s and 1950s. Today many of the fortifications and batteries are open to tourists, though some areas of the peninsula still belong to the Polish Armed Forces. Also lot of war relics from World War II,especially from German evacuation in 1945, still can be found in the woods and even on the beaches (see photos below).I recommendthe map for every WW2 history fan, militaria amateur and fortifications enthusiast.See some photos from some places the map shows – here below and in the photo gallery.
