This nonmetal holder sap tapping kit is easy toassembleand use. The PVC holders are durable
and won\'t corrode like metal ones.They can take rough handling from tractors running them over ( tested it) to all kinds of weather to young curious animals.
Pull off the cap, and the holder functions as a funnel to pour the sap into a holding container like a 55 gallon barrel. The toughpolycarbonate D&G taps have excellent cold weather endurance and will bend without breaking (been tested).Each Maple Syrup / Sap Tapping Kit Contains:
1 each - Maple Syrup tapping guide and How to Info. 3 each- EZ Sap Bag Holders. These are CNC machined from 2\" schedule 40 PVC water pipe.
3 each- Vinyl EZ Caps. These help keep debris and rain out of the sap bag. 3 each- 5 mil Sap Bags. Bags measure 12-1/2\" x 26\" and holds 3 gallons when filled to the neck of the holder.
3 each- D&G 5/16\" polycarbonate taps
6 each- Cable Ties We suggest using two ties per bag. The first tie is placed in the groove on the holder. The bag is folded
back over, and the second tie is placed just below the first. This greatly reduces the possibility a bag
could slip off.When a 5/16\" hole is drilled, these taps typically tighten with about 3/4\" of main neck of the tap in the tree.This space is need to hook the Ez Sap Bag Holder onto the tap.
