Marblehead Pottery - Arthur Eugene Baggs handdecorated vase with stylized trees. Signed \'AEB\' and dated \'26\' with theimpressed Marblehead Pottery ship logo. The vase is approx. 6\" tall and approx. 73/4\" wide (at its widest point). This piece has an experimental greenglossy glaze with brown highlights and a matte sky blue glaze interior. From 1925 to 1928 Arthur Baggs began an association with Mr.Cowan at Cowan pottery studio in Cleveland, Ohio. Mr. Baggs then started creating various green and blue high gloss glazes. Marblehead Pottery pieces such as this one were often described as having experimentalglazes.
