Please note this when purchasing, but also know that all of the films are very watchable.

All pictures are actual screen captures from the DVDs.

Film 1: Mardi Gras Amateur film: New Orleans Carnival Week (Feb 22, 1941) SILENT COLOR Runtime 9 MinutesSILENT A very colorful and energetic film that seems to speak volumes about New Orleans, how people reacted to parades, both in the parade and out, the way people dressed, and the way people acted in Mardi Gras back then.

This SILENT amateur film shows us what went on during celebrations of Mardi Gras in New Orleans in 1941. All of this is relatively tame compared to the mentality that\'s prevalent in the present rendition of the carnival. Good images of floats, and costumes. Many little girls dressed as Southern Belles. Surprising amount of Gypsy costumes. Interesting home made clown costumes.
