Here\'s youropportunityto own what I believe to be one of the earliest examples of NORMA JEAN DOUGHERTY featured on a deck of 52 playing cards prior to her becoming the starlet MARILYN MONROE. Image showcases a young and vibrant NORMA JEAN wearing a yellow sweater, white shorts, riding a bike with two puppies in a wicker basket. Released by U.S. PLAYING CARDS - CONGRESS - Cincinnati this FACTORY SEALED DECK includes not only the FACTORY STAMP but the original US GOVERNMENT TAX STAMP (used between 1941 thru 1965) sealed on the cello wrapping. I believe this image to have been taken of NORMA JEAN prior to 1945 and although I have never seen this image attributed it\'s highly likely that DAVID CONOVER or R. C. MILLER took this early shot. However due to the number of photographers who had the opportunity to capture this raving beauty I can only speculate as to it\'s origin. Any added information would be greatly appreciated. The deck of cards is standard size, factory cello wrapped, both stamps firmly attached and is MINT CONDITION. Included is a hardcover of FINDING MARILYN by photographer DAVID CONOVER with original dust jacket.
