Up forSale is aMartin D-35 Dreadnought!
Vintage 1973! Made In USA!This is really cool. You are looking at aVintage 1973Martin D-35 Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar. One of the best sounding, and loudest we have ever played. Strong bass tones, solid mids, and clear highs. It incorporates Martin\'s visually striking 3-piece rosewood back design. This vintage Martin D-35 Dreadnought Guitar gives you unsurpassed tone. Massive, solid Sitka spruce top produces a strong bass tone, ideal for rhythm playing. To accentuate the treble, Martin uses lighter 1/4\" top braces. Binding on the East Indian rosewood back and sides and a bound ebony fretboard add to this acoustic model\'s distinctive appeal. Includes original deluxe Martin hardshell case. Martin D-35 Dreadnought Guitar Features: * Bound solid spruce top
* Black and white rosette
* 3-piece rosewood back
* Indian Rosewood sides
* Bound ebony fretboard
* With Original Hard Shell Case The Sound projection of any Martin is great, but this D-35 is in a class by itself. The bass just booms. The sound projects so well. Very robust and full sounding. It is still bright but not overly so. The D-35 is classified as a true workhorse for a working pro level players. The sound comes off as deep and rich. Just a little woodsy. Being a 1973, the wood has aged and is dry. The Tone is off the charts.Our Luthier did a major service on this D-35. He also did a Neck Reset, which these older guitars always need.He also did a fret dressing. There was a binding repair done on the neck. Very minor. He added a few small pieces. There was a small finish crack that was repaired. It is on the front in the center from the bridge to the lower bout. It has been repaired on the inside. You can still feel the crack with your fingernail but it is solid and tight. (See picture #1, use zoom feature).A complete set up and new stringswere also done. It plays and sounds Beautiful. The action is just right. The original pickguard has shrunk over time and there is a tiny crack in the pickguard plastic.
Here is a picture of the binding as well as a small clearcoat finish inthe neck.

This Martin is a \"Players\" Guitar. This is for the discerning musician who can accept that some wear on a Vintage Martin is acceptable. This is NOT a shiny and perfect guitar. If you are after that, you will not be happy. Go to Guitar Center and just but something new. Cosmetics: GoodCondition.There is some wear on this guitar. There are scratches, chips, nicks, dings and dentson both sides of this guitar. As I mentioned earlier, the Neck was Reset. The frets have been dressed.The action is nowspot on. Tuners are original and they work just fine. The Original molded plastic Martin hard case has some scuffs and scratches. The Martin logo is missing on the lid of the case. All latches work.This is a \"Players\" guitar. It is not a museum piece. In saying that, it is still in really good condition. The wear is what gives it it\'s charm.Normal wear and tear. Overall, really good shape. Not abused or beat up in any way.It is used. Not perfect. Look at the pictures closely. They will tell the story.
