Tooled leather antique photo album with gilt edges and working clasps- one of the nicest I\'ve seen.

Name on cover Mary Ann Fretz

Contains 50 Antique images men women children elderly 

Many are identified with handwriting 

Discovered at a Pennsylvania estate sale-The deceased, a 94 year old retired schoolteacher did not have any children. She had a sister who passed several years earlier / also no children.

Album Size 5\" by 6\" and 2\" thick

All edges gilt

Brass clasps work 

Some images are very old, civil war era clothing and hairstyles

Condition

Gilt edging very clean

Some wear / rubbing to leather boards including scratches and shelf wear 

Overall good and Evident this album was stored away for years and well kept. Some images identified in pencil.

MaryAnn Stauffer Fretz 1812-1883, married to Jonas Fretz 1815-1895. Buried in Doylestown PA.

Jonas Fritz was son of John Fretz (1784-1843) and Susanna Haldeman Fretz (1783-1875). John Fretz was son of Henry Fretz (1755-1831) and Barbara Overholt Fretz (1757-1834) Bucks County Pennsylvania. Henry Fretz son of John Fretz (1704-1772 buried in Mennonite cemetery)  

Daughter Amanda Catherine Fretz  Berger 1844-1930  married John Berger(1851-1912)

Henry  Berger 1877-1955 born to Amanda and John.

Henry Berger married Rebecca (1859-1950)  and had 2 daughters Catherine (1909-1983 and was a Peace Corps Volunteer at age 53) and Elizabeth \'Betty\' Berger Porter (1918-2015) born in Lumberville Pennsylvania 

This Album was purchased at Betty\'s estate sale.
