Great Vintage Brass Face Powder Compact - by: Mascot ASB - Tradename of: A.S. Brown & Co Ltd, London England - signed on inside lid with a Crown, the logo of Mascot & Made in Great Britain on inner rim of lid - 3 inches diameter - c1940s to 50s - pretty pinwheel decor with raised detail & engine turned design on base - no puff - screen & nearly full powder present - surface scuffs & some finish wear on lid design - Fair to Good Condition

Dimensions: 3 inches diameter x 3/8 inch thick.

Condition: Fair to Good pre-owned Vintage. Engine turned base design on brass. Top lid surface has an elaborate pinwheel with raised details with some scuffs & a little finish wear. A spot of green oxidization on hinge. Inside has no wear. Signed inside lid surface with the Mascot logo of a crown & on inner lid rim \"Made in Great Britain\". Mirror has no blemishes, no silvering wear. Nearly full with powder, with screen sifter beneath. No puff. Large round compact. Clasps works well. c1940s to 50s.

Mascot was a tradename used by manufacturer A.S. Brown & Co Ltd, London England. The firm purchased Kigu in the late 1970s before being taken over themselves by Laughton & Sons makers of Stratton. Terrific gift for a vintage compact collector!
