Duratec powered kit cars too: Birkin, Caterham, Lotus 7, Locost LS 40Massive has modified Crower\'s outstanding range of high performance camshafts designed for the 2003-07 Duratec, and manufactured and installed a duplicated shutter wheel for the unique Mazda late model VCT cam position sensor.We\'ve also manufactured an effective and simple VCT delete system making this cam install a breeze, includingOE VCT delete.

Various motives exist for eliminating this system:

Power. Crower makes an extremely effective set of cams.
Eliminates oft problematic vct solenoid and gear.
Tunability. Bolt on a readily available aftermarket adjustable cam gear for concise, consistent user set cam retard / advance timing.
Expense. Much less investment than insane Cosworth, Tomei and Toda offerings.
Aftermarket ECU compatibility. Many stand alone ECU\'s cannot control and or will not work with the OE VCT hardware.
Weight. Even a factory steel pulley weighs less than half the weight of an OEM VCT gear, or over 1 pound (Aftermarket aluminum pulleys weigh even less). This may not seem like much, but those aspiring to high RPM superiority will appreciate this lower rotating mass.
Allows use of non VCT valve covers, opening up choices to several aftermarket aluminum offerings (check out Massive Speed\'s Trophy kit!). Alternatively OE plastic cover may be plugged.

Cams and Massive\'s modifications are all made in the USA! Installation requires specialized tools and knowledge. Improper install can cause severe damage to engine. Professional install recommended.
