Maud Humphrey Fan Die Cut Huge Scarce Vintage Victorian Card seldom if ever use the word \"rare\" to describe my items because it is so overused on , but in this instance, it does apply. This is a scarce and rare vintage die cut Victorian fan ribbon card, with artwork by the renowned artist Maud Humphrey, signed by her in 1891 (in facsimile, not her actual handwriting.) As you can see by the images, it does have some signs of age, including a slight bit of mold on the back, but it must have been treated at some point, as I can discern no smell of mold at all. The images show us a little girl surrounded by ostrich feathers, as if she were peeping out of a feather fan. The majority of the original ribbon is missing, only some small pieces are left. The card is held together with the original metal brad at the bottom. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to add this fabulous item to your collection, and with some professional restoration would make a stunning showcase piece. Condition: Fair to Good, with some surface dirt/scuffing, a bit of creasing in several places (mostly on the very bottom), some slight mold on the back, yellowing of the paper with age, some edge distress, and corner bumps all around.
