Mayer China coffee or perhaps tea cup made specifically for the Cranwell Preparatory School in Lenox Mass., whose school seal is set underglaze on the interior of the cup, perhaps as a reminder to the drinker?

Marked with \'251\' under \'Mayer China Beaver Falls,PA\' with what may be another Mark off to the side. Last two digits of the 251 denotes the year produced.

A small glaze defect on the outside, wear around the rim top and inner shoulder from usage. Also above the school seal are some small set in stains in the worn rim area. No cracks or chips or breaks.

Solid brown stripe around the cup with a matching stroke down the back of the handle.
