This is a vintage PRETZEL PIN that is actually a political pin for Arthur T. McGonigle!

In 1958 he won the Republican Primary for Govenor for the State of Pennsylvania. He even used some of his own wealth during his campgain but was defeated in the actual election by only 2%.

He used a Pretzel on his campaign pins as he took a pretzel plant in Reading Pa from rags to riches.. he was known as \"the man who took the pretzel out of the bar and put it into the kitchen\".

This silvertone metal \"pin\" has a post and tie tack pinch back. It is marked \"Ballou\" on the pinchback.
