This is an authentic Meissen plate circa 1860 in a beautiful floral motif which inspired later china patterns such as Herend \"Lindsay\" and \"Kimberley\". It is an excellent condition; I have photographed the small portion of the rim where gold paint loss is noticeable. Measures 9.2 inches across/diameter. Like all Meissen from Germany, the white is a most gorgeous white which is unmatched by any other! I purchased this plate from an antiques dealer specializing in antique Meissen in 1999 for $337.00 but obviously Meissen is currently not popular with collectors, so the price reflects that.
