I recently found this in a crawl space of a local Estate Sale. It took me a while to figure out what it was - but then I found a MAGAZINE PAGE that is listed on that tells you about it. The Advertising Magazine page reads: It is from WW1 and was used to Fumigate everything after Winter. Take out the Plants only - shut the Room and light a B & B Fumigator. The Germ Killing Gas will then penetrate every crevice - fabric and harm nothing and you will have a aseptic Room. The way to rid the Home of Germs is Gaseous Fumigation. B & B Formaldehyde Fumigators come in sizes for different Rooms and you simply light the Wick - one dollar will fumigate the average Room. The top of this Fumigator is embossed and it says SMALL. I am not sure if it is complete ( I don\'t see a Wick ) but it may be under the Tape? I am sure this one has dried out over the years and I don\'t recommend trying to use it. I am listing it for Display in some ones Collection. Really a RARE and UNUSUAL item. I searched the different sale sites and could not locate another - only the Ad.
