Note: The electrical components of this device have NOT been tested, due to it\'s age, but the cord does not show any signs of deterioration, (still wrapped-up from new)! The COIN MECHANISM does work great! The original key is included, as is the (1985) vintage quarter dollar.This unit can be wall-mounted, or free standing.
This coin-op timer came from my grand-parents\' estate. (I am now 68). I remember them telling me that when they bought their new refrigerator, it was plugged-into this unit, as a \"collection/payment\" device. (You had to put money into the locked box to keep the electric flowing to the appliance)........what a unique idea, \"back in the day\". An apparent pre-curser to our credit cards!

The timer will run for up to 24 hours, depending on the number of coins placed in the machine. To operate, you open the box with the key, plug the appliance into the meter, then plug the meter into an electrical outlet, & it is ready to use.Actually, anything could be plugged into this timer, other than a refrigerator, IE: radio, TV, jukebox, pinball machine, etc. (maybe even a kid\'s cell phone charger)?
