This is a high quality telephoto made by Meyer Optic in Germany. Beautifully made lens.

This lens has the external Exakta mount that was designed for use with telephoto lenses. The normal adapters you can purchase for m4/3 are for the internal mount and will NOT work with this lens. A specially modified adapter was used (using the mounting flange from a parts only camera) to take the sample photos. I will include the adapter for an additional $75. It can be used with all external mount Exakta lenses. Otherwise, note that the camera and adapter are not included.

The samples photos were taken with this lens, the previously discussed adapter and an Olympus E-M5. The first photo shows infinity focus at just over a mile. The details in the brickwork on the chimney are visible. (Grey day, with a bit of rain, so a dull photo.) The next two photos were taken at f5.5 and f8. Like most lenses, it is sharper at f8 but very useable wide open. Note that chromatic aberation is very well controlled.

Excellent, extremely well made lens.CONDITION
This is a used lens in very good overall condition.Cosmetically the lens is generally in excellent condition with some marks and minor scratches here and there. Note that a previous owner decided that he wanted to add a drop in filter so the lens has a slot cut in the back near the mount. It has been covered up with tape to stop dust and light entering. It does not affect the function.

The front and rear glass have no obvious marks or scratches. The front does have some marks and cleaning marks. The rear is well hidden inside and looks excellent. Inside there is no fungus and only minor dust.

All mechanisms work correctly. The aperture (preset) and the lock work well. The focus is smooth, a bit on the heavy side compared to a Nikon telephoto.

Included in this listing are the lens itself, original front cap, original rear cap (with two holes). The adapter is not included unless purchased separately. The camera etc. are not included.
