Being offered for sale is a signed Mitchell & Rammelsburg Drop front writing desk. A lovely gallery top rest over a drop down writing area with a fitted interior. Nice storage is offered with a drawer and two doors at the bottom. Highlighted in burl walnut and incised carvings, this wonderful desk is a product of one the premier furniture makers of the period. The makers mark is stamped on the back Mitchell & Rammelsburg, Cincinnati OH. Solid and sturdy this fantastic desk has been well taken of over the years and is in excellent condition, with no apologies that I can find. The drop down desk does have a working lock and key for security. Please look closely at all photos and I am sure you will agree, what a wonderful piece of history this is.
