An antique mourning pendant with a lock of hair in the compartment at the back. Very pretty piece. Don’t know the history of this piece but has been in family for years. Please see photos to appreciate this novel piece of jewellery.

Have had some people look at pendant the opinion is it may be silver but has not been tested. I’m reluctant to clean it. Probably 1860 to 1880 and a very unique and very nice piece.possibly bought on The Grand Tour. This is just a couple of people’s opinions on it as we know nothing about it and asked someone more knowledgable than us.
