Mid 19th Century German Hand Painted Blue Floral & Gold Star Breakfast Trio PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE DESCRIPTION BEFORE PURCHASING OR MAKING AN OFFER. Very pretty Victorian German porcelain breakfast set including a large oversized coffee cup, saucer and breakfast/dessert plate. The cup and plate have the name Fanny N Shearer in fancy gold gilt script. The cup has gold gilt scrollwork below the name and a gold gilt triangle pattern with gold gilt scrollwork leaves, small gilt scrolls, and blue forget me not flowers. With two thin bands and one wide band of gold gilding above and four thin gold bands and a gold scalloped band along the base. Gold gilding along the inside of the lip of the cup and gold highlights to the handle. The saucer has blue forget me not flowers and gold bands around the edge. The plate has gold gilt bands and scalloped around the name in the center and a gold gilt 6 pointed star through the entire border. With the same gold gilt scrollwork leaves, thin gold gilt scrolls and blue forget me not flowers. These are all unmarked, but were probably made in Germany during the mid 19th century. These have some wear to the gilding. The breakfast plate has a large star shaped crack through the center. The saucer has a small star shaped hairline on the base near the foot rim. No other chips or cracks. Cup measures approximately 4 1/4 inches wide including the handle x 3 1/4 inches wide.
Saucer measures 6 1/2 inches wide.
Breakfast plate measures 7 1/4 inches wide. These are antiques and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display-ability of the pieces. IRA4
