Mid 19th Century Very Large Oval Gold Gilt Large Picture Frame:

For your consideration is a lovely Victorian large gold gilt picture frame with oval design.The picture itself is 25\" high by 21\" across at the widest/ tallest points. The currentantique picture insert is 19 3/4\" tall x 15 3/4\" wide. I kept this insert due to the fact thatthe date is written on the back when this beautiful picture was created. The date is 1853.I am selling the picture along with the frame, unless the buyer does not want it.
The frame is nice overall condition due to being 162 years old. I noted a scroll piece ismissing in the right hand lower corner along with a tiny wooden piece of chaining thatsurrounds the oval. There are touches of wear here and there, but still presents verybeautifully. The glass is still nicely intact. You would need new backing for whateverinsert you choose along with more secure nails. A good art gallery could easily repairthe missing wooden pieces. ( See pic. 5). Please ask questions if you have them.
