Stunning glaze! Offered is a Mid Century Swedish ceramic vase. Manufactured by Upsala Ekeby(Sweden) and part of a series of vases called \"Marianne\". Designed by Vicke Lindstrand who named the vase after his wife Marianne. Vicke Lindstrand worked as a lead designer for Upsala Ekeby from 1942-1950 and went on and worked for Kosta creating his famous glass designs. Lovely simple modernist form with an extraordinary glaze! An amazing depth of color...high gloss light celadon from the bottom up blends into a discrete chartreuse and bursts into a flame of golden brown.... finishing to the deepest of deep brown Outstanding! Small but mighty this measures 3 1/4\" tall x 3 1/4\" wide. Signature to the bottom..Ekeby... 628... V.L. In excellent condition. A wonderful addition to any Scandinavian ceramic collection!
