Requires many pumps to get the ram to extend, which seems to beconsistentwith the way these pumps operate.However, it is possible that it will need service and/or some hydraulic oil.Ram slides back in after turning the release valve like it is supposed to. Has not been tested with a load.No significant leaks can be found. Originally designed for tracked vehicles such as the M1 Abrams tank. It may work for other applications as well. USA Made.
