A miniature beautiful POWDER BLUE - SKY BLUE - ROBIN\'S EGG BLUE color original antique glass oil lamp. Lamp is about 7.25 inches tall to top of chimney and roughly about 3 inches tall w/out chimney, to the top of the brass collar. This is an ORIGINAL (Over One Century Old) ANTIQUE Oil Lamp, a hand Blown Into Mold lamp (BIM), dating well over 100 years old.

Condition: Blue glass lamp bowl is in in excellent condition. It is clean and has NO cracks, chips, dings, damage, etc. The base of it has an inset female threaded end, an option for using on top of a pole to cast light further out. It is molded into the base of the lamp as a completely separate unit (seen in the last picture). the glass chimney is also in nice clean condition. The brass collar is used but looks to be in good, used condition. The burner looks like it is pretty exhausted and burnt out and barely screws into the collar. The wick turner still turns firmly which is good. Please see pictures for idea of overall appearance.
Age: An early hand-blown lamp (Blown-In-Mold = BIM), ca. late-1800\'s.

A super ornate miniature oil lamp, the blue color of the oil bowl sets it apart from all others. As you can see, we refer to it as SKY blue, ROBIN\'S EGG blue, POWDER blue, an almost opaque blue milk-glass color. Many of these old lamps are burned out and NOT safe to use, and even though this little lamp displays complete, it would be a must to replace the little burner if it is going to be lit. A burner for this lamp could be purchased very cheaply online. But most of these ORIGINAL miniature antique lamps are just used today for decoration so this may not even be an issue. This one is no exception, a beautiful and highly decorated little antique lamp. The very bottom of the base has a brass fitting molded into it, a manufacturing option. This way, the lamp could also be secured to a pole or wall hanger, even a heavy brass base, for stability. This little lamp looks like a jewel with the afternoon sun shining on it and the color would really stand out in a small grouping of them. And again, repetition for emphasis, even though this lamp appears to be totally functional it would be best to buy new brass-ware if it\'s going to be used. And look at the ways it can be used; at times of power outages, a soft nightlight, or even romantic evenings with a glass of wine, it can be used to give out that wonderful soft \'antiquee\' looking glow, check it out!
