Here\'s a chance to own an incredibly rare original Joseph Buegeleisen Co. (Buco) horsehide leather motorcycle jacket in exceptionally good condition. This is the J-12 Women\'s model jacket that was twin-styled with the J-22 (see catalog picture in listing) Measurements are below.
Besides sizing differences, this women\'s model differed from the J-22 as it came with a half belt opposed to a full, separate belt, lacked a breast pocket, and included extra stitching and material in the bust.
The condition of the leather is very, very good. No rips, no repairs. Only slight areas of wear, and typical wrinkles. Jacket could use a cleaning, but I will leave that up to the buyer. Liner is quilted, black, and in flawless condition. (It is NOT the red/black wool liner.) Front pocket zippers are the original Talons. Main zipper is a brass Lenzip. (a replacement, but one that occurred a long time ago) All zippers and snaps are functional and in good condition. There is an occasional loose thread to be found on the jacket, but nothing that would affect the aesthetic or integrity of this jacket.
This jacket is mint, but not flawless I have never seen a Buco of this vintage in this good of shape, and I have never seen this rare women\'s model in person before this jacket. This truly is a very rare jacket.
