Vintage Chinese PLA (Peoples Liberation Army) Model 239-1 Dual Conversion transistorized Military Communications Receiver that covers the 1.5 thru 30MHz-frequency range in 6 bands.

This is a classic Chinese Military radio manufactured during the early 1970’s we believe and is a hand wired radio. This unit is Serial number # 730312. It is in good overall physical condition when one considers that is over 40 years old.

I am selling it for parts or repairs due to the following facts: it does NOT turn on when power is applied. Therefore, we are unable to test this radio and must sell it for parts or repairs per protocol. The 110V – 220VAC to 12VDC power supply module that can be fitted in place of the battery box module IS INCLUDED and we suspect that it may need repairs. In addition, there is a small dent on the right side of the cabinet near the rear and the rear seam of the cabinet is cracked. This does NOT interfere with the radio fitting into the case but I wanted to mention this damage.

My Wife and I bought some radio equipment from the estate of a serious radio collector that had radio equipment from all over the world. This radio receiver is nicely constructed and reflects a careful consideration of the design. It is very clean inside with no evidence of any corrosion on the chassis. The knobs all turn freely and the front panel is in overall good – very good+ physical condition. The Plexiglas magnifier over the tuning dial is nice and clear. The metal cover for the front of this radio is also included.
