I am not a collector however, I do have a few items that I wouldn\'t part with and many more I wish I hadn\'t. This blade will be one of the many. So, up for sale and selling to the highest buyer with is this historical knife. When you grab ahold of this knife, you can instantly feel the power of this robust and sturdy design. After a little research I found that this knife was traditionally rounded at the tip but there were some that were \"clipped\" at the tip to give it more of a bowie or combat feel. I wouldn\'t have known this was ever done had I not researched it a little because it looks like that is how it was supposed to be. It\'s wood handle and finger groove design make a real comfortable hold. The leather sheath for this blade was made by Rock Island Arsenal in 1912 and fits very nicely.
