A good friend gave me this old liquor bottle today which she received as a gift from a friend of hers who collects a few antiques.The bottle itself measures approximately 10 3/4\" high and the four sides of the base measure slightly over 3\" across. The front of the bottle has an icon of a Native American with the words \"Mohawk Liqueurs\" and the glass on the base has the words \"Pat. Pendg\" with a few numbers which might note the date when this bottle was manufactured. I cannot verify that the bottle cap is original to the bottle but it does screw onto it and fit well. What\'s interesting about this bottle is that it was hand painted with several scenes which appear to be similar to Asian artwork; the colors have apparently faded or evaporated over time and the only definite objects which I can now see are an orange colored parrot sitting on a tree branch (see the 5th photo)and several depictions of pink colored flowers on branches. I\'d hazard a guess that this art might have come from Japan or China but that\'s just my novice speculation. I have no familiarity with Asian art styles and these decorations are a little difficult to capture in a photo especially due to the age and faded condition of this artwork. If this bottle could talk it might be able to advise us about where this bottle came from when it was full of fresh liquor and how it ended up in a place where someone with obvious talent and skill decided to decorate it with these now faded designs. I will ship this by USPS Priority Mail and make sure that this bottle is well protected and insulated with cardboard and bubble wrap.
