Presentedfor your consideration is this monumental (sale-speak for BIG!)Victorian art glass bride\'s bowl. I believe the shaded blue satin glass was made in the Mount Washington factory at the end of the nineteenth century. It has a beautifully crimped and ruffled edge. The bowl is decorated with delicate floral, scroll and lattice enamel work. It measures a full 15\" across! The bottom has a ground and polished pontil.This pieceis in excellent estate condition with no damage, wear or repairs noted. There are a few minor dark metal marks on the base from sitting in the frame for over a century (most came off with silver polish--a bit more elbow grease will make it perfect). The quadruple silver plated holderwas made by Simpson, Hall & Miller. It features an adorable little figural owl on each corner with lots of fancy reticulated detail. The bottom is marked as pictured and numbered \"46\". The stand is 6 3/4\" high, 13 1/2\" across at the handles and 7\" across at the base. It is very good condition with no damage or repairs found. I did not polish it butbelieve there is some platewear on the handles. The stand appears to be original to the bowl--fits perfectly. This incredible bride\'s bowl will be a worthy addition to any serious collection. The cost of U.S. insured shipping and proper packing is included with the purchase price.
