A Moorcroft bowl by Walter Moorcroft - the pattern is called Orchid or Frilled Orchid (some even call it Triple Orchid), it has mainly green background colour and dates from the 1950\'s. If you look at the pictures with the listing the pattern changes as you go round the bowl - which shows Moorcroft\'s attention to detail and inherent quality of production - no wonder they have been producing the finest British Art Pottery for over 100 years and still going strong!! The bowl is about 22 centimeters or 8 1/2 inches diameter, and is approximately 3 inches or 7.5 centimeters tall. It is It is a large piece. It is about 27 inches or 67 centimeters in diameter around the rim. It is a \"middle of the sideboard - impress your friends\" piece and is in immaculate condition free from any damage (this is an estate item - there is no box).It must be noted that old Moorcroft is not inherently \"perfect\" - large pieces like this were still wheel thrown in this era and as such have wheel thrown marks like little dents in the pottery which are glazed over. This isn\'t damage - this is part of the history of old pottery and how it was made. We should all know if we collect \"old\" that is how it is.If you look really closely you might see crazing on the underside of the base if you are lucky, but again that is just old pottery (you don\'t overlook your partner because they sport a few extra pounds or a few grey hairs - so don\'t overlook this gem !!)POSTAGE: we take our best guess to save everyone 100 questions to and fro about actual Postage, this quote holds for Qld, NSW, Victoria. If going to SA or WA it may be marginally more because of Australia Posts volumetric rate of charge on large pieces. We cannot do anything about that.If we are over we will refund.

BUYING FROM US IS RISK FREE:This DELICATE item will be PROFESSIONALLY packed (boxed and double boxed if necessary) and sent fully Insured Signed For trackable mail within Australia (and Air Mail overseas) – following dispatch we email you parcel tracking details and a link to follow your items progress - rest assured we have the skills and know how to get these pieces to you IN ONE PIECE (but please don\'t ask us to compromise on postage costs - there is a cost of doing things well with adequate packing and protecting the item)
