The 1940\'s Mosaic Tile co., \"Mosaic Mammy\" cookie jar was made over a relatively short period of time, making this a one highly desirable and fairly rare find for cookie jar collectors.
This original cookie jar is 13 1/2 inches tall and is wearing a yellow dress with a turban-like head covering. (due to the photographs the skin tone is has slightly more contrast, making it more deep brown in color than the original, over all the color is excellent, both brown & yellow) The Cookie Jar has been in my family for over 70 years.The Jar is in near Mint condition, no chips and has 1 hairline crack (see photos) and a few minor crackling in the glaze at the bottom (see photos). This jar is unmarked as none of the original Mosaic Tile Mammy Jars were ever marked. This one is in very good condition (again see photos) and well detailed with beautiful color.
