Benno Adam (1812-1892) was a German painter known for his portrayal of dogs. In this painting, Adam depicts a Bernese Mountain mother dog and her pups who, with full tummies, are feeling drowsy (\"A Soporific Family\"). A quarter-inch white border goes all the way around the print. Please ignore the pieces of wood used to hold the print open while it was being photographed. The copyright date is 1997 by Victorian Greetings, Kansas City, MO. A high-quality paper stock was used that will make the print especially suitable for framing.
