You are looking at a true Murano Art Glass Piece.The previous owner (who will be 105 years old this year) got this piece from her beloved husband when he returned from a visit to Italy.This exquisite Blue Heron is a highly collectible piece.The symbolism of the Great Blue Heron is weaved through virtually every culture and is said to have the following qualities associated with it:
Symbolic Meaning of the Heron: Calm, Grace, Solitude, Patience, Longevity, Versatility,Tranquility, Good Luck, Partnership, Intelligence, Domesticity, Being Present, Determination, Independence and Resourcefulness.
The beautiful coloring of this bird is the icing on the cake. Clear glass is interwoven with a turquoise blue ribboning and there is a metallic (silvery) core that runs from the head to the tail. A clear brilliant Amber for the beak and crest along with the base.This is an original piece and there is not another exactly like this one, in height, color or beauty.This is truly a special piece that will enhance any collection.This is the real thing from the most popular era of Murano glass.
Item is 14-1/8\" in height, 7-1/2\" front of neck to tip of tail, and is 3-1/2\" in width. Base is 3-1/2\" in diameter and height.Item is in perfect display condition with no defects. Tag is attached but barely readable due to cleaning. See pictures for details.Tail mark is part of the glass making process.

Returns for items with free shipping will be issued a refund less a restocking fee of 20% which will be deducted from refund amount.
