A Murano, Italy, vintage 1960s/70s art glass lamp base - to the best of my knowledge.
I\'ve seen very similar by Whitefriars too.Deep ruby red inner with a lower dark red/black (very dense red) section, cased in clear outer glass.
Really unusual! Quite thick heavy glass.
Mouth blown/handmade.Silver coloured metal adapter at top is sealed on. It has a round screw inner. The inner part measures about 7-8mm. Would this be for a lamp fitting top? Not sure what else it could be.Feels very tactile with chunky softened edges, looks good on display. Flat polished base with not many signs of age/era.
No chips, a few small scuffs/scratches that are hard to see.
Displays really well. Great vintage condition, and an unusual shape/piece.
Clean condition - so dark inside bottom that can\'t see.
Virtually black inside - can\'t see through!.
Could use as a single stem vase.9\" or 23cm.(Relisted for sale due to non payment)
