Description

I don\'t usually use superlatives when describing my compacts, but this one really is very special. I have seen thousands of guilloche enamel compacts over the years, but this one has the most fabulous and detailed artwork that I have ever seen. It looks like a miniature Thomas Kinkade painting. In fact, I think he might have stolen his idea for his \"paintings of light\" from this compact! :-) This compact is even prettier in person than I could capture in my photos, and I am sure the winning buyer will be very pleased.

The compact measures 2 inches in diameter and has snowy white wraparound guilloche enamel on the bottom. The compact opens to a still mostly clear case-framed convex mirror and a gold-washed interior with a rotating powder sifter. The compact is marked Sterling and Germany on the top rim.

I would consider overall condition to be excellent. There are a few light superficial scratches to the clear coat, but nothing that detracts. Please view and enlarge the many pictures I have provided so that you can judge condition for yourself, as I have found that everyone\'s opinion of condition is different.
