THIS IS A GORGEOUS AND RARE MUST DE CARTIER LETTER OPENER! Original Cartier Box is included. I\'m not sure of the exact age of this item, however it is approx 30 years old and was rarely used (was in our family). The instrument is stamped Cartier and 925. This is a highly collectible Cartier item, and would make a wonderful gift for display or actual use (yes, some of us do still need to open snail mail!).The gold plated signature \"rolling ring/trinity\" design embellishment at the joint between the handle and the blade is wonderful and the gold plating is of the highest quality, as you would expect from the house of Cartier. To be clear, this is a vintage Cartier item--please do not expect brand new condition. I am assuming the blade portion of the opener is not sterling silver since the hallmark is on the handle.
