The Space Shuttle Challenger disaster occurred on January 28, 1986, when Space Shuttle Challenger broke apart 73 seconds into its flight, leading to the deaths of its seven crew members. I acquired this 8 x10 picture from U.S. Government Printing Office in December of 1988. The picture has been stored in the envelope that it was shipped in and is still in great condition.The white edges may have taken on a very light yellow ting. The photo you will receive is not a copy but one of the original ones that I received approximately Three years after this took place.
