*I contacted my "Turquoise Expert" that I consult with regarding stones I am not sure of, etc., & he said this definitely looked like Morenci, but certain ways you look at it, you can see chocolate-red, with wefts of smoke & tiny white dots, also seen in certain types of Bisbee! I don't think I even have to tell you how RARE & VALUABLE this Turquoise is simply because it is just SO LARGE, UNIQUE, & WONDERFUL, that the actual "Type" it is secondary! GENUINE & NATURAL, REAL, UNTREATED TURQUOISE is seen in LESS than 3% of all Jewelry on the market today, so this Stone is RARE for SEVERAL REASONS:

Gorgeous & Handmade!

If you're a Turquoise Collector & Lover of Beautiful things that stand apart from ALL the Rest, & like your Turquoise to ACTUALLY BE AND LOOK LIKE Turquoise, SUPER HUGE, RARE SLABS, not little Dyed fake stones, that are overly-filled, stabilized/resin coated or epoxy-ed TO DEATH, then this is the stone for YOU! But - if you are so accustomed to buying stones that are IMPOSSIBLY flawless to the point of being unbelievable, have more Plastic than Turquoise in them,...too Clean to even LOOK real, and ALSO completely WORTHLESS, then you may to continue to look for your Turquoise elsewhere. You don't even have to be THAT well informed about Turquoise to distinguish RIGHT AWAY that this is a SUPER NICE, NATURAL, COLD SLAB, in an unusually MASSIVE SIZE, too! You can actually "FEEL" the Matrix on this one,..you can feel the lower lying matrix & where there is chunkier Silvery Pyrite, that almost seems to be raised up a little higher than the rest,..you can actually CLOSE YOUR EYES WHILE RUNNING YOUR FINGERS ACROSS THIS STONE AND TELL WHICH PART IS BRILLIANT BLUE, & WHICH PART HAS MATRIX! If someone would have coated it in RESIN, filled every little 'cranny' or 'pit', it would have lost ALL of its PERSONALITY & CHARACTER, not to mention be almost WORTHLESS to what it is NOW. If you've ever dealt with REAL Morenci, you probably already know how the chunkier parts of the pyrite sort of separate from some of the other substances, but since we hardly ever see UNTREATED Stones period, then you may not be aware of that. There is a little bit of "Natural Pitting", a couple little places,..(the worst I couldn't really even get to show up in photos,, but pointed out with the RED ARROW OVER IT IN 1 OF THE PHOTOS),..but PLEASE, do not make the mistake of confusing this with DAMAGE, the facts are,..this is NATURALLY in almost ALL Stones with Texture like Morenci, etc., but you just never SEE it because it is FILLED-IN with the usual Culprits, but NOT THIS STONE!! I actually think that little 'unevenness' you see on the bezel on the Right side was due to this same natural pitting. I think that possibly while the artist was setting it into the bezel, that it made a tiny spot break loose, so then he closed the bezel up & when he did, it made it have the little sunken in place, as far as the Bezel at the VERY TOP, the Artist had to notch it out to be able to turn the corner like he did, or it would have been "Excess/Overlapped" in that spot. This is a WONDERFUL PENDANT, it just doesn't get any better than this! There is no 'DAMAGE', there is 'NATURAL OCCURING CHARACTERISTICS' to this Stone, that is a GOOD thing, not a BAD thing, so PLEASE understand this BEFORE offerDING. Right now it is RARE, actually SUPER RARE- GENUINE MORENCI IS RARE, but to have a GENUINE MORENCI TURQUOISE PENDANT THAT IS 4 1/2" Long AND it be NATURAL,..you'll not be seeing that anytime soon, folks! It is not coated with resins to make something that is naturally textured be almost unrecognizable. I am just amazed at this stone, all of the various colors and textures, (and yes that chocolate red looks suspiciously like Bisbee, too!),..This Stone is the REAL DEAL, for the REAL Collector, the one that "OOOh's & AAahs" over the very SAME things that make the 'untrained eye'..(or as I jokingly like to call them), the "Turquoise Virgins",.. freak completely OUT. You know the ones, they think that alot of darker Matrix is a "Manufacturers Defect". I feel sometimes I spend half my time trying to convince certain ones what is and isn't ok,..but it's actually always best to read & research for yourself, because the Seller will not always be honest. Ha! A SUPERBLY CRAFTED, CEREMONIAL SIZED WONDER! Beautiful NAVAJO TURQUOISE PENDANT, a masterpiece that's out of this world, SUPER GORGEOUS & WELL MADE, words NOR Photos could EVER prepare you for the feeling you'll have when you hold it for the first time...cause when you DO, you can immediately tell that it’s NOT your average Pendant! Just LOOK at this Stone! A SUPER INTENSE ELECTRIC BLUE with Pyrite that SHIMMERS like SILVERY BLACK GOLD! ULTRA HEAVY GAUGE, GORGEOUS Stamped OVERLAY DESIGNS resembling "Sea Shells" or "SUN BURSTS", etc., are flanked completely around ALL the sides of a GORGEOUS, SMOOTH BEZEL SET 3 1/2" LONG RARE MORENCI TURQUOISE STONE! EYE CATCHING & GORGEOUS TURQUOISE STONE, this is one that LITERALLY will HYPNOTIZE YOU,..(and I am SERIOUS when I say this, I was taking Photos, and already had taken the Photos of this but still had it lying nearby, and my eyes kept being drawn to it like a MAGNET, the more I'd try NOT to look, the more I'd WANT to look!
